WIWS and the hike without the Ergo

Cheating at blogging and posting to another link up ;) This time we are over with Rosie for What I Wore Sunday.

Tops: NY & Co, skirt: Target, Teacup's dress: Gymboree
Teacup 1 is missing from the photo shoot. She wore a beautiful floral dress with a silver sweater and black mary janes. She was adorable. And we almost didn't make it to mass on time because of it. She tried to take off her dress, tights, and shoes. We let her take off the tights since it was just about 70 here today.

Both girls were realllllly good at mass though! I'll gladly put up with a tantrum before mass over during.

After mass we went on a hike! We live near the gorgeous Skyline drive, so we hopped on for a quick drive and took a short 1 mile hike. Teacup 1 enjoyed hiking on her own most of the way, taking breaks to dig in the mud. Teacup 2 was a little more apprehensive. The waterfall made her a bit nervous.

We forgot the Ergo and the camera. Definitely wont' make that mistake again! Ow my arms, but lugging around a 20 lb baby makes a good workout :)

I hope you all had a beautiful Sunday!

  2. Ha-ha oh goodness, we have totally forgotten the Ergo on many a hike or walk. Even just the grocery store is a pain without it! So now, we have one that lives in the car and one that lives in the house ;) Love the outfit and the pop of color with the cardigan

    1. I have definitely debated about getting another one! We haven't been using it much in the house lately anyway (she's all over now), so I should probably just leave it in the car anyway.

  4. Love that maxi skirt, and that pink is perfect on you! I was wondering how crowded skyline drive would be today - we went cider tasting and for a hike on our land but it won't be long before we're back at skyline regularly once the weather stays good!

    1. Thank you! The best thing about that skirt is that it runs really long so it's great for when I'm pregnant too. I just folded it up a couple times today. Skyline really wasn't crowded at all. We did go later in the afternoon though. Let us know when you go up for outings! We would love to meet up.

  5. What beautiful girls! I am so impressed, I can barely stand around at a social event while holding my 20 lb baby!

    1. Thank you! It was definitely tough. I'm supposed to run a 5k next weekend, so I figure any form of exercise will help out with that :)

  6. Love your skirt, too! I know, today was glorious, I wish I'd been outside more - we were guests at a brunch, but it was too breezy at their house to really be outside, then I was inside doing dinner prep (and reworking the blog) for a good bit of the afternoon. But hopefully above-30 temps will be sticking around! As soon as it's decently warm in the mornings we need to walk together! Or you can walk down to our house to play, and we'll walk you home :)

  10. I love the cardigan! What a great day for a hike! I'm really looking forward to hiking again later in the spring and summer, after this baby is born and I can walk mormally again ;)

  11. We went to Skyline to hike once, before I was even pregnant with the baby. :P After that we never made it back. Good for you for doing it with TWO! It's so beautiful there, and I loved how many little "secret" trails there are there to choose from. We took a short hike up into a small meadow in the fall and it was so quiet and peaceful.
